Proposal for changes to the CARFAC-RAAV Minimum Recommended Fee Schedule

CARFAC and RAAV are making several significant changes to our Minimum Recommended Fee Schedule as part of our efforts to improve artists’ working conditions. The changes reflect the recommendations that were made through our consultations with media arts and performance art communities, as well as our ongoing reflections on the effectiveness and impact of our Fee Schedule as it is currently written.

A proposal with various changes was presented to the members of CARFAC for a vote at our AGM on Saturday, September 28, 2019. The changes were approved and they will be in effect on January 1, 2020 for a period of four years, with a 2% annual increase in each year.

Please note that the Fee Schedule for 2020 has been posted in English only for now. A translation will be provided soon, as well as rates for 2021, 2022, and 2023.
